a creative process

Soooo here we go again! 140 x 120 cm mixed acrylic colors and marble flour on canvas. I really like this painting eventhough my intension was to paint something totally different. But that’s what always happens to me. When I have a clear vision of what I would like it to look I somehow lose it in the creative process and it ends up somewhere else. At first I’m disappointed but I don’t mind because the outcome this time really speaks to me. I think I will add this technique to my repertoire!

  1. Nadine – wonderful post! I don’t know if you have read “Creative Authenticity” by Ian Roberts but if not you might be interested. He goes in depth on this very process and how our vision and end result most often do not meet. It gave me perspective on the artistic process we all wrestle with! Best to you – Douglas
