Soooo here we go again! 140 x 120 cm mixed acrylic colors and marble flour on canvas. I really like this painting eventhough my intension was to paint something totally different. But that’s what always happens to me. When I have a clear vision of what I would like it to look I somehow lose it in the creative process and it ends up somewhere else. At first I’m disappointed but I don’t mind because the outcome this time really speaks to me. I think I will add this technique to my repertoire!
Sooo hier mal wieder ein neues Bild! 140 x 120 cm verschiedene Acrylfarben und Marmormehl auf Leinwand. Ich hab mich total in dieses Bild verliebt, obwohl ich etwas ganz anderes malen wollte! Aber genau das passiert mir immer. Wenn ich eine genaue Vorstellung davon habe, wie es am Ende auszusehen hat, verliere ich mich irgendwo in dem kreativen Prozess. Zuerst bin ich unzufrieden, finde dann aber einen neuen Weg, komm auf andere Ideen und Techniken und bin am Ende doch immer zufrieden. Ich denke diese Technik wird in mein Repertoire aufgenommen!

Nadine – wonderful post! I don’t know if you have read “Creative Authenticity” by Ian Roberts but if not you might be interested. He goes in depth on this very process and how our vision and end result most often do not meet. It gave me perspective on the artistic process we all wrestle with! Best to you – Douglas
